NYX Professional Makeup – Cirque du Soleil
The challenge
For their annual show-stopping Halloween campaign, NYX Professional Makeup partnered with Cirque Du Soleil to create a range of looks.
Following on the success of our collaboration campaigns in 2020 and 2021, NYX Professional Makeup approached us to help them realise their vision for this year’s Halloween AR filter campaign based on the makeup range.
NYX Professional Makeup wanted the filter to bring the feel of their brands to users by allowing them to virtually try-on their Halloween makeup range, to drive conversions at one of the company’s most lucrative times of the year.
Our approach
The experience we produced begins with a pair of red curtains opening to introduce six characters. By tapping on the characters, users can access virtual makeup try-on filters and adopt one of six distinct looks: salty siren, slithering enchantress, angel face, firecracker, dragon baddie and pretty pony. Each look also comes with a matching background theme and animations, such as floating bubbles or flapping angel wings.
The experience went live on Instagram and Snapchat.
